REMINDERS
Boating season ends November 1. Please remember you will not be able to park your watercraft in your driveways after that date.
A friendly reminder that the HOA CR and House Rules require that all structural or design changes to property require approval by the ACC (widen driveways, alter patio decks, adding or replacing fencing, etc). Many times, changes might fall under a maintenance category, and ACC approval would not be needed. To be sure, please contact Dan White before proceeding with a project. You can reach Dan at dwcapabianco@gmail.com.
Landowners are responsible for maintaining their landscaping and lawns throughout their yard, up to their property line. Be sure to pay attention to the overgrowth along a fence line both in the back and along the sides between houses. This overgrowth is especially noticeable along the entry way into the Villages.
Landowners who have fire hydrants in their yard, must have a 36" radius cleared around the hydrant. Please check the hydrants in your yard to be sure there is enough clearance. There should be no plants in that area.

Neighbor Good Deed Spotlight
Leighton recently had a lemonade stand to raise funds for children to have Halloween costumes. It was a huge success! We are proud of you, Leighton.
A HUGE thank you to all of the villagers that donated to Leighton's Halloween costume giveaway! We LOVE our neighborhood!
Leighton had a total of 75 costumes to giveaway yesterday!!! She cried at one point because she looked at the kids running around on the stage so excited about their costumes. She even had a little girl give her a nickel. She tried to give it back, but the little girl said "No, I want you to have it." They were the ones in need, but yet, she gave Leighton a nickel. You have no idea how much that touched us!
***We do have about 20 costumes left. Message me to see if we have something in your child's size. (Kimberly Davidson)

How a Board Meeting is Conducted
The board recently adopted "Robert's Rules of Order" for conducting our meetings. All are welcome to attend these meetings the 2nd Thursday of each month.
During a board meeting, it's common to discuss both old business and new business.
Old business refers to topics, decisions, or actions that were previously discussed or initiated in previous meetings and may require updates, follow-ups, or further deliberation.
New business pertains to fresh topics, proposals, or issues that haven't been addressed in previous meetings. This could involve new opportunities, challenges, or initiatives that require the board's attention and decision-making.
Addressing both old and new business ensures that the board stays informed about ongoing matters while also allowing for consideration of emerging issues or opportunities. This balanced approach helps in effective decision-making and strategic planning.
