New Plants Along Village Way
The recently planted laurels and magnolias are flourishing with their first blooms. We're grateful to the nearby neighbors who generously allowed us to use their water, which played a significant role in their growth last fall.
Parking Stickers
You can obtain parking stickers for the park through your village representative, with a maximum of 2 per household.
Patriotic Parade Event
Our festive patriotic parade was a blast last year, and we're thrilled to announce it'll return on June 29th at 10:30 am. The mayor will lead a brief flag ceremony, followed by the parade itself. Afterward, we'll gather at the park where food trucks, including a snow cone truck, will be available. There will also be a dedication of a park bench for Elizabeth. All are welcome to join in the fun by dressing patriotically and decorating bikes, strollers, pets, golf carts, and more. The parade route will be determined soon.
HOA Fees
HOA fees have been increased by $6.00. The total per year is now $186.00. The address to mail your dues is 100 Village Way. You may also give to your village representatives.
Below is a compilation of recent and upcoming enhancements funded by your HOA dues:
New sand at the park
Camera Surveillance at the park installed
Aquatic weed treatment of the cove (also funded by neighbors in the cove and extra donations)
The roundabout restoration/redesign with the addition of flags poles and flags.
Landscaping and mowing of common areas
Pest control
Painting of park structures and entrance fences
Streetlights, fences, signs
Pool maintenance
Boat dock improvements
Entrance way tree trimming
Flower pots at the entrance
Aquatic Weed Control
Maintenance for aquatic weed control is regularly done in the cove area. Residents residing along the cove contribute additional funds to mitigate the expenses. Given that not all residents on the cove have volunteered to share the costs, we are now seeking donations from other cove users to support this effort.
HOA Violation Notices
Friendly notices of violations for HOA rules, including issues like lawn upkeep and parking on lawns, which detract from the appearance of our neighborhood, will be distributed shortly. The process will involve initial identification notices. Depending on remediation efforts, progressive intervention may be considered.
Reminders
Parking your boats in your driveway is permitted until November 1st.
Landowners are responsible for maintaining their landscaping and lawns throughout their yard, up to their property line. Be sure to pay attention to the overgrowth along a fence line both in the back and along the sides between houses. This overgrowth is especially noticeable along the entry way into the Villages. The mowers for the villages mow the easements and all common areas.
